I learned a few years ago that taking care of what's inside of you will show on the outside. I have literally seen the difference. I buy the loose herbs from Whole Foods or any other natural foods store. I put the herbs in a filter in a coffee maker and sweeten with raw natural honey. Very Simple!

Coconut Oil

I wanted better looking better hair, better looking skin, and better overall health. Coconut oil provided all of this for me. I read somewhere on an organic health discussion board about the benefits of taking coconut oil and I wanted to try it. So I bought a tub of room temperature solid coconut oil. I read that most people take a spoonfull of it.

I tried that a few times, and I couldn't take the gagging anymore! Even melting it first was too horrific for me, but I wanted to experience the benefits that everyone else was getting. So one morning, I put it in my coffee, and that took away the greasy feeling in my mouth and the gagging, and my coffee had a hint of coconut flavor. I liked it a lot. Others overcome the greasy feel by putting it in smoothies too.

I bought the tub of coconut oil in the vitamin isle in Walmart for $10.00. Each tub lasts me like a month and a half, so it's a good deal. Oh, and if liquid-form is too unbearable, capsules are available too.

I didn't catch the premiere Sunday night, but I watched it Monday night. I absolutely love this show. I really appreciate the way they capture Kimora being a mother and fashion empire mogul.
My favorite part of the show was the cupcake scene. Her girls are so cute, and I love that Kimora ate the cupcake even though it looked really nasty. It is obvious that her assertiveness and ambition is what keeps Baby Phat and all of her other side projects popular and selling. I hope to have a similar business as her one day and to still be able to juggle all the other aspects of life. I'm addicted and I will be watching.

The product of the week is Victoria's Secret Garden Body Sugar Scrubs. I only tried the My Desire scent, which is one of my favorites. I really loved the smell, but I was really annoyed with the scrub part of it. The sugar crystals melt really fast, so you only get to scrub one body part at a time before the sugar dissolves. I bought it for only $2.75 so I'm not really mad, but it smelled really good.

Yes. I'm still having skin problems. A dermatologist is out of the question right not because I can't afford it. Right now, I'm just about trying every product on Walmart's shelves until I can find something that will correct my skin. I recently tried Neutrogena's Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser. I was very excited about this product at first because I saw changes right away. I immediately noticed that my skin was brighter and smoother and the scars on my cheeks were fading. Then, after a few weeks, I started breaking out and it was painful. The package doesn't say oil- free, but I didn't see any oil in the ingredients. I'll just keep walking the Wal-mart aisles for now...

Gray/Grey is the color of the summer. I never know which way to spell it. With black and white being popular colors of the season too, gray has made a place for itself. The grey's to wear for the warm weather are very light grey's, not dark grey's or charchol's. The darker gray's are popular in the colder month's. Light gray is lighter and more casual. Love's it!

The product of the week is Glysomed Hand Cream. I first tried this cream when I bought it on sale for $0.61 at a drug store I worked at last year. This cream is great for retail environments where your hands can get extremely dry. It's very thick, so just a little works. I really like how it makes my hands feel like I just put on lotion all day, but doesn't isn't slimy. It's made my nails healthier, and my hands are always smooth. I recommend.

Product of the Week

The product of the week is Neutrogena Clear Pore Astringent. I've been using this product for about a month now, and it seems to be working fine. It hasn't helped with oil-control, but my face feels cleaner throughout the day. It dried out my face like crazy when I first started using it, but I don't have that problem anymore. I'm still trying to find a cleanser that will clear acne and dark spots. Any suggestions?

Leopard print was a huge trend last spring and it was included in everything from handbags, shoes, leggings, and just about all apparel. Leopard print has lasted into this spring season as well. I'm kind of surprised that it has been this popular for this long and to tell you the truth, I'm kind of over it. It's not a refreshing look because I feel that everything was done to this trend that could be done to it last year. I don't hate this look, but I think it's time for it to go back into the vault. No, I am not ashamed of my skin color, but I am ashamed of the dark spots that pimples leave on my skin. I don't have very dark skin so these dark spots are very easy to see on my face, especially in pictures! I had no idea what to do with these spots and I thought that there was no solution to clearing them fast. After reading a post on Afrobella about fade creams I was surprised and happy to see that there is something I can do. I couldn't find the Tri- Luma that she described, but I practically ran to Walgreens to get some Ambi.

I was so excited to have found this cream. When I got home, I read the package instructions and I followed them to the letter. It was a little greasy and I don't like the smell, but I used it anyways. It's been over three months and there has been no improvement on my spots. I am so dissappointed. The directions say to discontinue use after 3 months. So what do I do now? Any suggestions for clearing after pimple marks?
